SEROLOGICAL TEST COVID - 19
The COVID 19 KHB Diagnostic Kit for SARS-CoV-2 IgM/IgG Antibody (Colloidal Gold) is a qualitative screening test for the detection of antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which is also responsible for COVID 19 pneumonia (Corona Virus Disease 19).
It employs chromatographic technology with colloidal gold as a solid phase for the qualitative determination of SARS-COV-2 IgM/IgG antibodies. The test is performed on a drop of capillary blood, obtained from a fingertip prick, or on serum or plasma. The result is read after 15 minutes.

OPERATING PROCEDURE:
- Collect whole blood, human serum, or plasma
- For plasma/serum samples: Add 10μL of sample to the sample well and add 3 drops of diluent to the sample well. For whole blood samples: Add 20μL of sample to the sample well and add 3 drops of diluent to the sample well.
- Read the results in 15-20 minutes.
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
The presence of only IgG antibodies indicates a past COVID 19 infection and immunity status. The presence of IgM antibodies, alone or with IgG, indicates a possible ongoing infection. A negative result (absence of antibodies) should also be evaluated considering the "window period" of infection and the appearance of IgM antibodies, which can be quantified as 4-5 days.
Specificity: 96.3%; Sensitivity: 90.0%.
