SIEROLOGICAL TEST COVID - 19

The TEST RAPIDO COVID 19 KHB Diagnostic Kit for SARS-CoV-2 IgM/IgG Antibody (Colloidal Gold) is a qualitative screening test for antibodies against the SARS–CoV–2 virus, also responsible for COVID 19 pneumonia (Corona Virus Disease 19).
It uses chromatographic technology with colloidal gold as a solid phase, for the qualitative determination of IgM/IgG SARS-COV-2 antibodies. The test is carried out on a drop of capillary blood, obtained from the fingering of the fingertips, or on serum or plasma. The result is read after 15 minutes.

OPERATIONAL PROCEDURE:

  1. Take whole blood, serum or human plasma
  2. For plasma / serum samples: Add 10μL of sample into the sample well and add 3 drops of diluted into the sample well. For whole blood samples: Add 20μL of sample into the sample well and add 3 drops of diluted into the sample well.
  3. Read the results in 15-20 minutes.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS

The presence of only IgG antibodies indicates COVID 19 infection and immunity status. The presence of IgM antibodies, alone or with IgG, indicates a possible infection in place. A negative result (absence of antibodies) should be evaluated also taking into account the “period window” infection and appearance of IgM antibodies, quantifiable in 4-5 days.
Specificity: 96.3%; sensitivity: 90.0%.
