Chest Restraint Belt for Wheelchair – RP215 from the Koala Line by Moretti: Comfort and Safety for the Patient

The RP215 Chest Belt is part of the prestigious Koala line by Moretti, a leading company in the field of solutions for the daily mobility of the elderly and disabled. This innovative accessory is designed to enhance the safety and comfort of patients seated in wheelchairs or comfortable chairs, providing an effective restraint system that prevents forward sliding and promotes proper posture during sitting.

The RP215 Chest Belt features a butterfly harness, a unique structure that provides stable and comfortable support to the patient's torso, keeping them upright without sacrificing comfort. The intelligent design and high-quality materials ensure long-lasting durability and superior performance even in everyday use situations.

Main Features of the RP215 Chest Belt – Koala Line:

Ergonomic Restraint System

The RP215 Chest Belt is designed to contain and stabilize the patient's torso, preventing sliding or involuntary movements during the use of the wheelchair or comfortable chair. The ergonomic shape of the butterfly harness ensures optimal support, while the polyurethane padding allows for even pressure distribution, reducing the risk of irritation and improving overall comfort.

High-Quality Materials

The belt is made with polyurethane padding, an anatomical and soft material that absorbs friction, keeping the patient comfortable during long periods of use. The outer fabric is made of polyester, a durable and easily washable material that ensures long product life even after numerous uses and washes. This makes the belt particularly suitable for use in care and healthcare environments.

Ease of Positioning and Adjustment

The RP215 Chest Belt is equipped with adjustable straps, allowing the belt to be tailored to the patient's body shape, ensuring a perfect fit. The quick attachment system, with an "X" shaped support, and clip closures allow for rapid and secure positioning. The clip closures not only facilitate attachment but also allow for quick release in case of emergency, enhancing the safety of both the patient and the operator.

Compatibility with Moretti Wheelchair Models

The RP215 Chest Belt is designed to be compatible with all models of Moretti wheelchairs and chairs, including:

- CP100 Folding Self-Propelled Wheelchair
- CP500 Folding Transit Wheelchair
- CP520 Folding Double Transit Wheelchair
- CP300 Extra Wide Bariatric Wheelchair
- Self-Propelled/Transit Convertible Wheelchair

Butterfly Harness Design for Greater Stability

The butterfly harness of the belt allows for better distribution of support, protecting the upper body of the patient without compromising freedom of movement. This design is intended to reduce the risk of postural injuries, improving the overall well-being of the patient and allowing for prolonged use without discomfort.

Suitable for the Elderly and Disabled

The RP215 Chest Belt is ideal for elderly or disabled individuals who require extra support to maintain a correct position while spending time in a wheelchair or comfortable chair. The belt provides secure fastening to prevent movement and improve comfort, preventing muscle tension or discomfort resulting from poor posture.

Instructions for Use of the RP215 Chest Belt

Initial Positioning: Have the patient sit in the wheelchair or comfortable chair and position the chest harness on the patient's chest, ensuring that the padded part is well centered.
Positioning the Straps: Position the two upper straps so that they go over the back of the backrest. This ensures that the belt remains stable and securely fastened.
Passing the Lower Straps: Also pass the two lower straps alongside the harness, going over the back of the chair or wheelchair for even pressure distribution.
Fastening and Adjustment: Attach the 4 connectors to the "X" connector and secure them with the appropriate snap locks. Then, adjust the length of the straps and the belt to achieve a comfortable but secure fastening for the patient.
Final Check: Ensure that the belt does not exert excessive pressure and that the patient is completely stable, while still being able to breathe and move slightly.
