SMI-SPON is a surgical hemostatic sponge, produced in high-purified gelatinous material for use in various surgical procedures. It is a quick and effective hemostatic that quickly stops bleeding. Reduces intraoperative bleeding and surgical time. SMI-SPON can be used in several surgical interventions of emostases. When applied in vivo and used in adequate quantities, it is completely absorbed within 3-4 weeks. SMI-SPON is biocompatible, non-toxic and apirogen. SMI-SPON is sterilized with gamma rays and individually packed ready to use blister packaging.
