The Piuma UP2 mattress consists of 17 interchangeable elements made of Nylon and PVC, versatile and durable materials that ensure long-lasting performance. Its height of 13 cm and innovative design allow for optimal pressure distribution, minimizing the risk of pressure ulcers.

Mattress Operation

The first 3 elements of the mattress operate in static mode, providing gentle and comfortable support for the head and shoulders. This cushion function is designed to reduce pressure in sensitive areas, promoting a peaceful and comfortable sleep.

The remaining 14 sections are divided into two alternating zones with 2-way operation, meaning they inflate and deflate alternately, stimulating microcirculation and reducing pressure in contact areas. This alternating cycle helps prevent pressure ulcers by improving blood circulation.

Biocompatible Nylon/PU Cover

The mattress features a Nylon/PU cover, a biocompatible, waterproof, and breathable material. The cover is designed to resist moisture and keep the patient dry and comfortable. Additionally, the cover complies with European fire reaction standards, providing extra protection in case of emergency. The zip on all four sides makes the cover easily removable and washable, simplifying maintenance.
