Pair of Cryogenic Gloves - Advanced Protection for Liquid Nitrogen Operations

Cryogenic gloves are essential personal protective equipment for those working with liquid nitrogen and in cryogenic environments, such as in cryotherapy, cryosurgery and other applications that require handling substances at low temperatures. These gloves provide optimal protection against splashes and liquid nitrogen leaks, ensuring the safety of the operator even in the most extreme conditions.

Main Features of Cryogenic Gloves

  • High-Quality Material: Made from full-grain bovine leather treated with Tecniciuir, the gloves are water-repellent and offer good protection against splashes of water and cryogenic liquids.
  • Effective Thermal Protection: The aluminized polyester polymer provides exceptional thermal protection, reducing the risk of damage from extreme cold. The gloves are tested to ensure safety even at -196°C, the temperature of liquid nitrogen.
  • Comfort and Flexibility: Despite their robustness, the gloves are flexible and comfortable, allowing for natural movements and good dexterity. The adjustment with self-wrapping tape facilitates a perfect fit to the hand.
  • Durable Construction: The gloves feature Kevlar® thread stitching, an extremely strong and durable material, contributing to greater longevity over time. Additionally, they have a synthetic lining to ensure comfort during prolonged use.
  • Leather Thickness: The leather used for these gloves has a thickness between 1.1 and 1.3 mm, ensuring the right protection without compromising mobility.
  • Safe Design: The cuff made of split bovine leather completes the protection, offering greater safety during use in cryogenic environments.

Certifications and Safety Standards

The gloves comply with European safety standards, ensuring high protection against mechanical and thermal hazards. The main certifications include:

EN 420:2003+A1:2009 - General requirements for protective gloves, with particular attention to dexterity (level 2) and water resistance (ability to withstand water penetration for over 180 minutes, with a score of 4/4).

EN 388:2016 - Gloves against mechanical hazards, with scores on:

  • Abrasion resistance (2 out of 4)
  • Cut resistance (2 out of 5)
  • Tear resistance (2 out of 4)
  • Puncture resistance (2 out of 4)

EN 511:2006 - Protective gloves against cold, with scores on:

  • Convective cold resistance (2 out of 4)
  • Contact cold resistance (3 out of 4)
