Main technical features

Variable polarization system

The DermLite DL5 is the first portable dermatoscope featuring a variable polarization system. It allows seamless switching between polarized, non-polarized, and parallel-polarization modes, providing a multi-layered view of skin structures. This enables a more in-depth assessment of nevi, pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, and superficial abnormalities.

UV lighting at 365 nm integrated

DL5 is also the first dermatoscope with integrated 365 nm UV light, allowing visualization of fluorescent structures that are invisible under conventional lighting. This is particularly useful for diagnosing vitiligo, fungal infections, acne, and for highlighting cosmetic residues or actinic keratoses.

High quality optics - 32 mm lens, 10x magnification

The 32 mm optical glass lens offers a wide field of view with 10x true magnification, ideal for high-precision analysis. The crystal-clear image allows observation of even the smallest morphological details.

Long life battery

The DL5 battery has twice the capacity of the DL4 model, providing many hours of continuous use on a single charge. It is quickly rechargeable via the included USB-C cable.

Integrated steel ruler

For immediate lesion measurement, DL5 includes a 100 mm stainless steel ruler, integrated into the device and always available during examination.

Smartphone compatibility

With the included MCC adapter, the DermLite DL5 can be connected to a smartphone or tablet camera for dermatoscopic imaging and telemedicine. It is ideal for digital dermoscopy and clinical image archiving.
