Main technical features

Variable polarization system
The DermLite DL5 is the first portable dermatoscope equipped with a variable polarization system. It allows easy switching between polarized, non-polarized, and parallel polarization modes, providing a multi-layer view of skin structures. This approach enables a more in-depth assessment of nevi, pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, and superficial anomalies.

Integrated UV lighting at 365 nm
The DL5 is also the first dermatoscope with integrated UV light at 365 nm, allowing visualization of fluorescent structures not detectable with conventional lighting. It is particularly useful for diagnosing vitiligo, fungal infections, acne, and for highlighting cosmetic residues or actinic keratosis.

High-quality optics – 32 mm lens, 10x magnification
The 32 mm optical glass lens offers a wide field of view and a real 10x magnification, ideal for high-precision analysis. The clarity of the image allows for the observation of even the smallest morphological details.

Long-lasting battery
The battery of the DermLite DL5 has a double capacity compared to the DL4 model, ensuring many hours of continuous use with a single charge. The device charges quickly via the included USB-C cable.

Integrated stainless steel ruler
For immediate measurement of skin lesion sizes, the DL5 is equipped with a 100 mm stainless steel ruler, integrated into the device and always available during the examination.

Smartphone compatibility
Thanks to the included MCC adapter, the DermLite DL5 can be connected to the camera of a smartphone or tablet for dermatoscopic photographic documentation and telemedicine. It is ideal for digital dermatoscopy and clinical image archiving.
