The SPENCER 115 mm suture scissors are surgical instruments designed for controlled and safe cutting of suture threads.

The notch at the tip allows for grasping and cutting threads without damaging surrounding tissues. The straight geometry and length of 115 mm (4 1/2") ensure precision and optimal access during suture procedures in various surgical disciplines.

Cleaning and disinfection

Manual treatment:

  • Disinfection by immersion and cleaning with a brush
  • Chemical disinfection: 15 minutes with Stabimed 2% solution
  • Drying: not applicable

Mechanical treatment:

  • Mechanical alkaline cleaning with thermal disinfection
  • Thermal disinfection: 90°C for 5 minutes
  • Drying according to the program of the thermal disinfectant (Digit 4 RDS Material)

Sterilization

Validated steam process:

  • Fractionated vacuum at 134°C
  • Holding time: 5 minutes

Technical note:

To prevent friction corrosion, instruments with joints or metal surfaces subject to rubbing must be lubricated before each sterilization cycle.
