The Monosyn® 6/0 by B. Braun is a synthetic absorbable monofilament suture with a medium-term absorption profile, made from glyconate, ideal for delicate surgical procedures and for closing superficial wounds. Available in transparent color, Monosyn® 6/0 is designed for easy handling and to provide high knot security during the procedure.

Technical Features of Monosyn® 6/0 Suture

Monosyn® 6/0 is a synthetic monofilament that offers easy manipulation due to its good flexibility. Its monofilament structure reduces the risk of infection, as it does not provide a favorable environment for bacterial proliferation. Additionally, the suture is absorbed by hydrolysis within 60-90 days, ensuring safe healing and optimal recovery without the need for removal.

Note: Monosyn® by Bbraun is equivalent to the suture thread Monocryl by Ethicon.
